AskTheTrainer.com Personal Trainer Michael Behnken, MS, NASM-CPT-PES, CSCS Dumbbell Iso (1 side at a time) Shoulder press is a tremendous exercise for your deltoids, and if you do it properly your core as well. Keep your feet together, keep your glutes contracted and core tight to ensure optimal posture. Try to keep your shoulders completely level, this does NOT mean shrug one shoulder to match the other. If you do this properly you will find out if one arm / shoulder is weaker than the other. If you do it properly you will also feel the exercise almost as much in your core as your shoulders. Lower your arm to a perfect 90 degree angle with the dumbbell in line with your ears. AskTheTrainer.com
